More than 40 volunteers with the Trout Creek group have spent nearly 2,000 hours rebuilding the warming hut at Gem Peak near Trout Creek, which was burned by fire in August. A 27-year-old Plains man was killed in a one-vehicle accident near Frenchtown early Monday morning. Montana Highway Patrol (MHP) reported that the man was driving an Oldsmobile Bravada when it ran off the right side of the road just before 2 a.m. Monday.
