    It was a successful weekend at the Choteau Classic for the Blue Hawk wrestlers, who came home with a champion and two second-place finishers. Senior Trae Thilmony, on a quest for his third straight state title, won the 145-pound bracket as junior Eli Ratliff placed second at 152 and Max Hannum was second at 170.     The Savage Horsemen wrestling team got to see some tough competition this weekend, but Coach Shane Angle was happy with their performance as they traveled to Fairfield for duals on Thursday and then to Choteau for the two-day Choteau Classic over the weekend.     It was a wild night in Hot Springs Saturday as the Charlo Vikings came to town for some basketball action. The Vikings girls dominated the Lady Savage Heat, winning 50-17, but Hot Springs never gave up in the battle on the court. Charlo came out with an early lead, allowing just one Hot Springs point to the Vikings’ 19.     Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks (FWP) staff met with Sanders County residents last week to discuss proposed changes to hunting regulations. FWP Wildlife Biologist Mike Ebinger said the department set goals of simplifying regulations and having biologists focus on biology and science, as well as having the Fish and Wildlife Commission (FWC) handle social issues.     The Thompson Falls School Board voted Monday to take the next step in building a multi-use facility at the high school. The school board voted to allow Superintendent Bud Scully and Dan McGee with Building Mind and Body, LLC to negotiate the contract for building and design of the facility. The two will work with Swank Enterprises of Kalispell to negotiate the contract for pre-construction services. "That gives us a chance to get the project in budget," McGee said.
