The Thompson Falls cross country team headed north for the Flathead Invitational last Friday and some Hawks ran their new personal bests. Sophomore Hattie Neesvig finished the course in 22 minutes, 12 seconds, setting a new personal record. The Lady Hawks hit the road Saturday for a double header against Deer Lodge and Anaconda. The Hawks beat Deer Lodge in four and lost to Anaconda in four. The Noxon Red Devils played host to the Tri-Cities Titans in their first home football game of the season last Friday. Though the Red Devils kept up with the Titans in the first half, some costly turnovers allowed Tri-Cities (a cooperative of students from Hobson, Moore and Judith Gap) to make a run in the second and the Titans ended up winning 52-27. The Plains Trotters fell to the Mission Bulldogs in three sets in their first 7B conference volleyball mastch last week. Voters within the Sanders County Sewer District at Paradise voted this week to recall two of the district's board members. Each race was within two votes. Ballots had voters choosing for or against the recall of Rick McCollum and Sunny Chase. In both instances, more voters selected to recall the board members.
