    The Lady Red Devils triumphed over the St. Regis Tigers on Saturday, 54-48. On the offense, the girls had good ball movement and everyone contributed to points, said Coach Cortney Vohs.     Last Saturday was Western Night in Plains and wins for the Horsemen and Trotters. The entire evening was filled with enthusiasm from supporting fans on both sides. The Horsemen beat the Trojans 46-40 in a fierce match-up. The game started out slow on the offense with Plains trailing in the first quarter 8-4. In the second quarter Jayden Weeks made two three-point shots in a row and Plains was ahead 18-16 at the half.     Thompson Falls Blue Hawks welcomed the Plains Horsemen and Trotters to a game last Friday. The Lady Hawks defeated the Trotters 68-30. The teams were neck and neck in the middle of the second quarter 19-17, Hawks up by two points. Coach Mike Tessier said that Plains was a tough team to defend.     The Thompson Falls Blue Hawks traveled to Troy on Thursday to play the Trojans. The boys game ended in a victory for the Hawks of 55-37. In the first quarter the Hawks scored 13 points to Troy’s 6. In the second quarter the Hawks scored 14 and the Trojans 10; in the third quarter the Hawks picked up 10 points to the Trojans 7; and in the fourth, Thompson Falls gained 18 while Troy trailed behind with 14 points.     The Thompson Falls/Noxon wrestling team traveled to Great Falls last weekend to compete in the CMR Holiday Wrestling Classic. “With 55 teams competing, it’s one of the toughest matches in the state,” said Coach Mike Thilmony.     The Plains/Hot Springs wrestling team traveled to Eureka last weekend to compete in the Buzz Lucey tournament. Buzz Lucey was a wrestler from Eureka who went undefeated for a majority of his career. Coach Jesse Jermyn said that Lucey’s granddaughter was there competing. There were 11 teams in the competition.     The Trout Creek Adventist School accomplished a successful journey in engineering at their fourth annual toothpick bridge building competition earlier this month.     Noxon basketball teams traveled to Clark Fork, Idaho, last weekend. The boys were trounced in Friday's match-up against Clark Fork, 70-37. Six players scored: Justice Kayser with 13 points, Ricky Williams with 10, Sam Christensen with 6, Jaden Elder with 3, Kade Hill with 1 and Shane Murray with 4 points.     The boys and girls basketball teams traveled to Powell County to take on the Deer Lodge Wardens last weekend. The Blue Hawk boys claimed victory over the Wardens with a score of 63-50.     A calling that has been in the making by local artist Kathy Altman for seven years has been accomplished. Through a labor of love, Altman completed 14 stained glass window panels for the Saint William's Catholic Church in Thompson Falls.
