    It was the making of Noxon history last Saturday as the Noxon Cougars Babe Ruth baseball team won the Glacier League Division Tournament in a doubleheader in Eureka. Coach Wes Tucker said that it was the first time ever for either Babe Ruth (ages 13-15) or Legion (ages 16-18) baseball from Noxon to win a division title.     It was a spectacular way to end a track season for the Blue Hawks and Horsemen/Trotters, competing against the top athletes at the class AA and B State Track meet at the Bulldog Memorial Stadium in Butte last weekend. For sophomore discus State Champion Alexis Deming, it's still just the beginning of her athletic career. She slung the discus 123 feet one inch, winning by a whopping six feet.     It was state-bound for five athletes from Hot Springs and Noxon schools last weekend. Laurel hosted the class A and C event at the Laurel Sports Complex. "The three kids we took to state laid it all out there this week," said Hot Springs Coach Andrew Leichtnam. Sophomore Elijah Campbell placed 24th in the 3,200 in a time of 11:52.61.     Leaving behind a legacy at the state golf tournament was the Thompson Falls girls golf team with their fourth-place finish. It all went down last Tuesday and Wednesday at the Marias Valley Golf and Country Club in Shelby. Out of 12 teams competing, both Thompson Falls and Three Forks girls scored a total +270 in two rounds to tie for fourth. The championship went to Shelby with a +223 total to par gross.     The Western B/C Divisional Track Meet at Big Sky High School in Missoula marked the end of the season for some Sanders County tracksters and onward to state for others.     It will be the first time since 2010 that the Blue Hawk softball team has made it to state. Thompson Falls shook up the stands at the divisional games in Anaconda last weekend and came out victors after four challenging games. It all started on Thursday when the Hawks went up against their former victors, the Ennis Mustangs. The Mustangs had previously beat the Hawks when they played each other at the Grizz stadium.     Showcasing their hard work and talents at the 6B District meet in Eureka last weekend were the Thompson Falls Blue Hawks and Plains Horsemen/Trotters. The Lions came out strong, grabbing five runs in the first two innings. “It was a tough loss, but we had some younger girls make some great plays,” said Coach Kati Mitchell.     The Plains-Hot Springs notched another win last week as they traveled to Troy to face the Trojans. Senior Garth Parker threw a shutout as the Savage-Horsemen beat the Trojans 8-0.     The Thompson Falls Blue Hawks lost 7-5 in an edge of the seat game against the Lincoln County Lady Lions last Thursday. The Hawks had a 5-1 run lead going into the sixth inning.
