As we dust the thin layer of bright-yellow pollen from our windshields each morning, three generations of the Totzauer family have been busy taking advantage of the season by offering a grand opening of Wood and Petal, a new retail greenhouse located at 2631 Highway 200 just north of Trout Creek. "Everyone this side of the bridge is ecstatic!" exclaimed Steve, son of 91-year-old Michael and 85-year-old Beverly. They opened their doors last week and have seen Noxon and Trout Creek customers aplen...

If you know Compton, you also know this to be true. "I'm pretty good at doing nothing," he guffawed, "but that doesn't happen very often." One set of...
True love knows no walls, boundaries or limitations. Just ask Gary Draszt and he will attest this to be true. As true as his love for his wife of 64 years, Joan. The Draszts' anniversary was March 23. There was no way Gary was going to let current distancing regulations get in his way of celebrating with his beloved. Not only are there restrictions on what businesses can remain open, but visitation rights at care facilities have also been taken away. This posed a problem for Gary. As fate would...

Prior to depicting their figure, students spent a month researching a historically significant person of their choosing, from early...
As a state, Montana has resisted the COVID-19 effects as long as possible. As the rest of the country is succumbing to the illness, we have stood strong as our rate of infection is minimal in comparison. The time has come for us to do our part in decreasing the viral spread. With that, parents are now finding themselves with children home and could use a little prompting of the imagination to keep busy hands, well, busy. Some ideas you may find interesting and likeable, others not so much, although they may inspire other ideas. Perhaps these...

She shared that the American Red Cross will...

If you look deep enough, you’ll find that every day celebrates at least one aspect of our lives. Thursday, February 27 is a day to celebrate protein. Yes, protein - the building block that nourishes our blood, bones, cartilage, hair, muscles and skin. Although protein was first introduced by Gerardus Johannes Mulder, a Dutch chemist, in 1838, National Protein Day has received more support since 2006 when a federal study found that diets rich in protein helped decrease hunger by increasing the feeling of fullness compared to a diet lower in p...
