    Thompson Falls golfers had a chance to compete last Tuesday at the JV invite at the old nine at Polson Golf Course, hosted by Two Eagle River School. The course offered a great starter course for the new golfers. They would only finish a nine-hole round but grew and learned from the experience, said Hawk Coach Doree Thilmony.     The Over The Hill gang started their golf season at the River’s Bend golf course this week. Dave Garr had the men’s low gross with a 42, while Gary Thompson carded the men’s low net score of 37.     The Thompson Falls Lady Hawks took on the Bonner Ferry Badgers last Thursday taking the win 14-2. They then saw the Powell County Lady Wardens and the Anaconda Copperheads Saturday in a double header. Bonners Ferry was able to get on the board in the top of the first inning, scoring two runs.     The Blue Hawk golf team competed in two tournaments last week, traveling first to Canyon River in Missoula on Monday, then St. Regis on Thursday for a tournament at Trestle Creek Golf Course. Theo Nygaard earned an 86 at the Canyon River course, finding 11 fairways, six green in regulations, and 29 putts.     The Noxon-Thompson co-op baseball team had two home games this past week, first taking on the Ronan Chiefs falling 20-6, then seeing the Frenchtown Broncs sinking 12-2.     The Noxon-Thompson Falls co-op baseball team added another win to their season after taking on the Troy Trojans 13-2. Troy got on the board in the top of the first inning after a player singled and one walked, each scoring a run.     Thompson and Plains took to the road for the Florence-Darby Invitational hosted by the Hamilton Golf Club last week.
