The company had most of their customers' power restored early Sunday morning. Saturday afternoon, a review of the electric company's outage map showed more...

Construction is expected to last at least three business days. During the renovation project, two temporary workstations will be set up in the courthouse across the hall from the treasurer's office. Scribner said the...

  • FWP makes license changes

    Feb 6, 2020

Hunters and anglers can expect a few changes this year when they buy their 2020 licenses starting March 1. Starting this year, both licenses and carcass tags will be printed on normal-sized paper, and license buyers will be able to print them at home. For years, FWP licenses and tags have been produced on weather-resistant paper. However, this paper is not only expensive, but requires printing technology so outdated that it’s almost i...

  • Montana Viewpoint

    Jim Elliott|Feb 6, 2020

Douglas There is a time when people become willing agents of their own destruction. We follow the wrong path because we are told by those we trust that it is a good...

  • Changing your outlook changes everything

Sanders County Ledger, Clark Fork High School Class of 2019|Feb 6, 2020

My most memorable outdoor experience took place my sophomore year of high school with my school’s outdoor experiential learning program. It was mid-November; the first snow had painted the wilderness white. I awoke Friday morning eagerly ready for an adventure! Knowing anything could happen I prepared myself with three layers of socks, 5 layers of clothing and enough snacks to feed an army. Although, I have never been a scout I take their moto to heart when it comes to being prepared. As I headed to school, the sky began to darken and opened up...
