    The Hot Springs Savage Heat boys advanced to the District 14C tournament semifinals last week before eventually being eliminated.     The Plains Horsemen bowed out of the remotely-played District 14C tournament last week, falling 47-38 to the Vikings in Charlo Tuesday and 45-31 to the Savage Heat in Hot Springs Friday. In the game with Hot Springs, Tucker Foster and Parker Flock each scored eight points to lead Plains, Jayden Weeks added five, Garth Parker three, Gabe Gamboa, Gavin Regalado and Nathan Feliksa two apiece and Duncan Chisholm one.     Big Sky Passenger Rail Authority member Jerry McDonald met with Sanders County commissioners to report on recent progress made by the Rail Authority. McDonald shared with the commissioners he was elected treasurer for the Rail Authority and the term expires in 2023. “We’ve been forming and laying down the groundwork at our principal location in Missoula,” McDonald said.
