    On Thursday the Blue Hawks and Trotters/Horsemen traveled to Bigfork to partake in the Steve Hullett Invitational. With 27 holes, many hazards and several bunkers, the Eagles Bend golf course was quite the challenge. Coach Doree Thilmony said that the greens are much larger and the grass is faster than the River's Bend course here at Thompson Falls. "Greens in regulation are difficult to get," said Thilmony.   • Successful weekend for Spring Mack Days

    The Mack Days 2023 Spring total is at 23,517 entries turned in. The sixth weekend was the most successful so far in this event. It was good fishing weather for most of the weekend. Fridays catch came to 1,640, Saturdays entries were 1,486, and Sundays entries were 1,388 for a weekend total of 4,514 fish entries. Mack Days Fishing Events are sponsored by the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes and sanctioned by Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks and are used as a management tool to reduce non-native lake trout in Flathead Lake.The event runs...

    Less than 50% of Sanders County voters returned ballots for local school and special district elections this week. Ballots were tallied at the Sanders County Courthouse on Tuesday evening. Of the more than 9,800 registered voters in the county, 4,171 voted in this week's election.
