    Whitefish Credit Union kicked off the Wednesday men’s league at River’s Bend with a solid four-point first-place lead. Mountain Plains, LLC, golfers Paul Flemmer, Ron Beaty, Rick Hagedorn and Bernie Groshong combined for the low gross of 177 last week, and Highlead’s Chadd Laws, Jesse Mosher, John Mosher and Steve Fairbank shot the low team net of 151.     The Tuesday men’s league at River’s Bend got down to business in the first week of competitive play for the season. Custom Ventures (Kade Pardee, Scott Pardee, Ty Pardee and Craig LeCoure) rallied for the low team gross of 180, and Big Sky Pantry’s Bill Nolen, Howard Morkert, Mike Tessier and Mike Lilly combined for the low team net of 141. Chipping in as they got back in the swing of things were Bruce Sterling on No. 4, Bary Moore on Nos. 4 and 8, and Dan Whittenburg on No. 4.     For the first time in two years the Plains High School Art Department will host a live reception for an exposition of its students’ work. Plains High School Art Exhibition 2022 will take place on May 9 from 6-8 p.m. in the school’s new auditorium.     The Clark Fork Valley Riverdogs split a doubleheader last weekend against the Bitterroot Red Sox with one loss and one win. The Riverdogs head coach Jon Zigler said the first game was a slugfest for the Sanders County Legion team in Hamilton Saturday.     The Sanders County Board of Health continue its search for a new Public Health Officer. Eight county residents applied for the job and the Board of Health will choose three candidates to interview. The board also formed a committee to review the Board of Health bylaws.     A Thompson Falls woman pleaded not guilty to two charges resulting from a disturbance at her home. Debora Fratzke pleaded not guilty Tuesday before Judge John Larson, who was filling in for Judge Deborah “Kim” Christopher, to felony assault with a weapon and a misdemeanor charge of obstructing a peace officer or other public servant.
