    The Hot Springs Savage Heat brought home the hardware from the District track and field meet last week, with both the boys and girls placing second as a team. Noxon and Hot Springs traveled to Missoula for the district meet, where one Red Devil and three Savage Heat athletes took first place in their respective events.     The Thompson Falls and Plains golf teams took to the road to take on the divisional tournament at the Old Works course in Anaconda on Tuesday. Only two golfers will be headed to state, Hawks Aubrey Baxter, and Solveig Nygaard. For Thompson, Theo Nygaard shot a 99, finding five pars on the day. "Theo was a solid golfer this season.     The Noxon-Thompson Falls co-op baseball team headed to Whitefish for their tournament, first taking on the Troy Trojans falling 10-4. The Red Devils opened the scoring in the first after Logan Buckner singled, scoring one run, but the Trojans were able to capture the lead in the bottom of the first after three singles and an error each scoring a run.     Students in Trout Creek and Thompson Falls were rewarded for reading last week. Students received Kindles from the Running Start reading program, coordinated by the Thompson Falls Woman's Club. The Masonic Lodge #70 provides Kindles that are given to students in grades K-6.
