    Double H Dirt Works doubled down on the links competition and jumped back into the league lead in Tuesday Night Men’s League play at River’s Bend last week. With Scott Pardee, Jake Helvey, Tom Kirkland and Ty Pardee doing the swinging, the Double H Dirt guys shot the low team net of 139. Team Feed-N-Fuel – Dave Petteys, Steve Clark, Doug Gunderson and Mike Gillmore – shot the low team gross of 178.     The Wild Coyotes shot the low team gross and took over first place in league standings in Wednesday Night Men’s League action at River’s Bend last week. With Kevin Sparks, Dave Petteys, Scott Pardee and Howard Morkert doing the golfing honors for team Wild Coyote, the furry, fearsome foursome shot the low team gross of 169.   • Three P-HS Trotters named Western B-C, two All-State

    Plains seniors Kassidy Kinzie and Kenzie Angle, and Hot Springs junior Sydney Jackson have been named to the 2019 Western B-C All-Conference softball team. Kinzie and Jackson were further honored by also being named All-State B-C. The Plains-Hot Springs Trotters, after finishing third in the Western B-C tournament, went on to win third place in the State B-C tourney as well, winning the program’s second State B-C trophy ever this spring.     Plains senior Kassidy Kinzie, who helped lead the Plains-Hot Springs Trotters to third place in the recent State B-C softball tournament, has signed a national letter of intent to attend Miles Community College and join the Pioneers first softball team next school year. The daughter of Kim and Richard Kinzie of Plains, Kassidy plans on pursuing a degree in education at the Miles City school.     It was a Yellow Ball Scramble day at sunny River’s Bend Monday morning, and the Over the Hill golfing gang made a fun day of play of it. With a member of each foursome required to play the yellow ball on any given hole and the other three playing in a best-ball scramble format, the team of Buck Adams, Rusty Haggard, Russ Wood and Charlie Hooten played the yellow ball best, while the team of Don Hansen, Sam Burt, John Beckman and Lana Nolen posted the lowest scramble score.   • MOVING THE GOAL POSTS

    Scott Pardee of Custom Ventures was at Previs Field last week moving the goal posts in anticipation of the Thompson Falls Blue Hawks moving to the 8-Man football game next fall. Since the 8-Man field is only 80 yards long, the stanchions had to be moved to accomodate the new-sized playing field. Pardee's company also administered the removal of the home-side bleachers at Previs Field. New bleachers will be constructed before the beginning of the prep football season....
