Besides the summer’s horticulture and natural resource tours, there will be a free presentation focused on parents with teenagers. The Ryan brothers from Plains have been performing for years. Recently they expanded their talents to St Ignatius' Purple Mountain Players. The Huckleberry Festival will conduct another fun-filled auction presented by Kevin Hill Auction service at this year’s festival. The generosity of over 100 local businesses and individuals has been terrific, according to auction organizer Liz Ugorcak, with donations coming in from Trout Creek, Thompson Falls, Plains, Noxon, Bull River, Heron, Libby, Troy, Clark Fork, Sandpoint and Missoula. The bridge over the Flathead River on Highway 382 near Perma will be closed completely this weekend while crews continue a rehabilitation project. According to the Montana Department of Transportation (MDT), the bridge is anticipated to be completely closed to traffic starting Saturday, July 29 at 6 a.m. and will reopen on Sunday, July 30 at 6 p.m. There will not be a detour at the bridge.
