    Katie Miller learned from the best, (see article above about her dad Dave Petteys) as she had the only chip-in for ladies league last week at River's Bend, putting a long one in on No. 4. Jeanne Holleran and Tina Wheeler combined for the low team gross of 99 while Danice Toyias and Kristy Beaty had the low net round of 68.     The MSU Extension Office in Sanders County is again hosting a wide range of tours to include beekeeping and grape cultivation at local wineries. Besides the summer’s horticulture and natural resource tours, there will be a free presentation focused on parents with teenagers. Parents can learn how to talk to teens about the dangers of misusing opioids and stimulants. The presentation will be at the Rex Theater in Thompson Falls on July 31 at 6 p.m..     The Huckleberry Festival will conduct another fun-filled auction presented by Kevin Hill Auction service at this year’s festival.   • Hwy 382 bridge at Perma to be closed over weekend

    The bridge over the Flathead River on Highway 382 near Perma will be closed completely this weekend while crews continue a rehabilitation project. According to the Montana Department of Transportation (MDT), the bridge is anticipated to be completely closed to traffic starting Saturday, July 29 at 6 a.m. and will reopen on Sunday, July 30 at 6 p.m. There will not be a detour at the bridge.
