    Golf teams took to the course in Plains for the 7th annual Golf 4 Green tournament earlier this month. The tournament originated with hopes of reviving the Plains Golf Course, which was in desperate need of repairs.     Visitors to Glacier National Park can now purchase digital annual and seven-day entrance passes online at YourPassNow. The National Park Service (NPS) partnered with NIC, Inc. to develop and administer YourPassNow to better serve Glacier visitors. “We are pleased to offer this new convenience to our visitors,” said Park Superintendent Jeff Mow. “This technology will allow people to save some time at the entrance station by purchasing a pass in advance.” The pass will be accepted at all park entrance stations.   • CASA event raises funds for local kids

    More than 200 people showed up to support the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) fundraiser at the county fairgrounds Saturday evening, fetching $3,000 this year. Peg McCarthy, one of the organizers of the 4th Annual CASA Ice Cream Social, said people had a great time and it was a successful fundraiser taking in twice as much money as last year.     Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is proposing an administrative rule to codify the population objectives detailed in the conservation strategy for grizzly bears in the Northern Continental Divide Ecosystem. The Fish and Wildlife Commission will vote on the proposed rule during their Aug. 9 meeting.
