by Annie Wooden Golfers will tee off Saturday morning for the 11th Annual Avista Charity Scramble. The event is hosted by Avista at River’s Bend Golf Course in Thompson Falls. Each year, a local organization is chosen to benefit form the tournament proceeds. Project ASCENT will be the recipient at this year’s tournament. While the golf roster was full as of Monday, there are opportunities for non-golfers to get in on the action.
