    The Sanders County Health Department offers the following advice to prepare for cold weather. The way to avoid frostbite and hypothermia is to plan for extreme cold before it arrives.     At the "first" Thanksgiving celebration in 1621, the Wampanoag Indians just showed up, but at Plains Elementary School, the Native American participation was planned and welcomed. Weare, 102, a pioneer of the Noxon area, who died November 14. Weare was born in North Loop, Nebraska, December 25, 1877.     Cancer Network of Sanders County (CNSC) is planning their last event the year, the annual lantern launch. CNSC has been selling lanterns throughout the county for $10 each. The lanterns will be launched at 6 p.m. on Saturday, November 30, at the Sanders County Fairgrounds. Lanterns can also be purchased as the fairgrounds Saturday evening.
