‘Tis the season for holiday bazaars and the sale of homemade gifts. The next in the county’s lineup is the Christmas Bazaar put on by Noxon School’s PTO.
Saturday, November 4 will find vendors and shoppers alike gathering in the school’s gymnasium. From 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. shoppers can purchase thoughtful gifts for friends and family while putting a few extra dollars in the pockets of crafty creators - just in time for Christmas shopping season. A portion of proceeds will help Noxon PTO accomplish their goals during the remainder of the school year.
In addition to the regular shopping experience, attendees can participate in the ‘ugly sweater contest,’ where participants pay a $1 entry fee and don their silliest winter sweater apparel to vie for prizes in the form of gift certificates to local businesses. Running alongside the contest, from noon until 3 p.m., will be a silent auction full of locally donated items and useful things for around the home.
The senior class will be running the concession stand, selling cinnamon rolls, coffee and lunch. For the youngest of attendees a bouncy house will be open for play, as well as a coloring contest. Raffle tickets for a toy box will be available for purchase and shoppers can acquire delicious baked goods during the bake sale. Door prizes will also be given out periodically throughout the day.
Following the bazaar, the senior class will host rousing rounds of bingo.
There is a signup sheet in the school office for those wishing to donate baked goods or silent auction items. For more information, to be a vendor or to donate, contact Cecilia Beardsley at 847-2052.
