Independently owned since 1905
Barbara Reeser passed away suddenly at home Friday, October 20, 2017. She was born in Hope, Idaho August 22, 1939 after four flat tires on the way from Heron where her parents George and Fern Prishmont made their home. Barbara married her high school sweetheart Bob Reeser July 1, 1956 in Superior. They enjoyed 61 years of marriage together. Barbara was a stay at home mom to their children Robert W. and Rhonda J., until she went to work in the bookkeeping business in the late 70's and was lucky enough to work with Dan and Carla Parks, CPA for over 20 years. They continued to be great friends until the day she passed.
Barbara had a stroke in 1997 but continued to live with courage and strength and set an example for us all with her will to remain independent despite her disabilities. She enjoyed camping, hunting, accompanying her husband on his bench shooting trips and spending time with her grandkids. She also spent many hours at her hobby, researching and putting together the family genealogy. Barbara was known for her good nature, kind heart and wonderful sense of humor. She was fun loving and a joy to be around. She brightened everyone's day and could always be counted on for smiles and laughter. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, George and Fern Prishmont, sister, Sandra and her infant son, Roger Mark. She is survived by her loving husband Bob of the family home in Belknap; brother Jim (Linda) Prishmont of Spokane; son, Robert of Thompson Falls; daughter, Rhonda (Craig) Russell of Deer Lodge; grandson, Andrew (Mary) Stobie and children, Desmond, Max and Harper; granddaughter Rebecca Bennett and many beloved friends and extended family.
At Barbara's request there will be no funeral services. Her family would like to say a special thank you to all who cared for Barbara before her passing; Julie, Cindy and Dejuan of Home Health Care; Erik and Trent; Janet and the ambulance crew. We very much appreciate all you did for Mom.
If you should so choose, memorial contributions may be made to TRACS of Thompson Falls.
