Sheets is better suited for mayor

Editor,

We are writing in support of Mark Sheets for Mayor of Thompson Falls.

There is no one in this town that we feel is better suited for the position.  He and Karen have  been our friends for 35 years/neighbors for 32 years. Torgy and Mark taught together at TFHS for 19 years. We raised our children together - he taught our children. He has our respect and our vote.

Mark was born and raised in Seeley Lake (his family worked over 60 years at Pyramid Mtn. Lumber).  He earned a BS from MSU Northern. After short stints in Box Elder, Rosebud and Philipsburg, he settled into the high school science position in Thompson Falls, from which he retired.

Having served as mayor of Thompson Falls (1 yr, 10 months) and City Councilman (11 years under 3 mayors) he is experienced.  He also served on the Fish, Wildlife and Park’s Citizens Advisory Committee for 4 years, and is/has been involved in several local organizations.  He worked as a temporary employee for the Forest Service, gaining experience in fire, timber stand improvement and contracting.

*Smart - he understands the issues

*Knowledgeable

*Experienced

*Honest

*Dedicated and dependable

*A logical thinker

*Excellent money manager

*Respectful towards all.

Please support Mark - he will continue to lead the City of Thompson Falls with the PAST, PRESENT and FUTURE in mind.  We will all be better for it.

Darrel and Penny Torgrimson, Thompson Falls
