Savages lose 2

The Hot Springs Savage Heat boys are not short on desire, but they are a little short on bodies.

Armed with a roster of only six players, coach Ricky DePoe and his latest edition of the Savage Heat dropped a pair of games in the Tip-Off Tournament at Frenchtown, falling to Seeley-Swan 52-28 Friday and to Darby 46-27 Saturday.

DePoe and his band of six will now not play again until Dec. 14, when they visit the Two Eagle River Eagles in Pablo for both teams’ District 14C conference opener.

Brandon Knudsen and Tyler Carr scored 10 points each and Luke Waterbury eight in the game with Seeley.

Keaton Johnson scored 12 points and Cameron Haines 10 to lead the Blackhawks.

Justin Salmi scored 13 points, Knudsen added nine and Carr five in the loss to Darby.

Dylan Parks scored 11 points to lead a balanced Darby attack.
