Stewart’s attorney, Jessica Polan, said that Stewart has received treatment for post traumatic stress disorder and alcohol addiction.

“If you have PTSD, you just can’t drink,” Judge Manley said in court. “A lot of people are pulling for you.”

Also in court Tuesday, Marisa Harvey was sentenced to three years with the Department of Corrections, with a recommendation for treatment.

“This sentence is about your rehabilitation, and I hope you can do that,” Manley said.

“I’m going to take this opportunity,” Harvey responded. Harvey was arrested in July 2017 at a residence on Blue Slide Road in Thompson Falls.

Judge Manley sentenced Scott Ryder on three counts Tuesday. Ryder received jail time and a fine of $235 for an incident in Trout Creek Nov. 13, 2017, in which Ryder got a flat tire on the Trout Creek bridge and his truck and trailer ended up blocking traffic. Ryder, who has been incarcerated since November, was charged with negligent endangerment, driving while his license was suspended, and failure to remain at the scene of an accident, all misdemeanors.
