Arts Council needs support

Dear Editor,

We have enjoyed the Tapestry Season of amazing performing artists presented by the Sanders County Arts Council. The Arts Council not only presents these artists in two wonderful venues, the Paradise Center and the Rex Theatre, but also provides free transportation for community members to access these locations. The Arts Council has obtained a grant to fund a bus to either transport folks from Thompson Falls to Paradise or from Plains to Thompson Falls, venue dependent. What a wonderful gift to all of us interested in seeing these professional artists. No deer dodging, ditch diving or death gripping a steering wheel. Just leave the driving to the safety conscious bus driver. It’s a fun ride while visiting with friends and making new acquaintances.

The down side is the lack of passengers travelling from Thompson Falls to Paradise. The Arts Council needs to show numbers in order to receive the grant funding for the buses. If you plan to travel to one of the Tapestry performances please support their efforts by riding the bus, so the Arts Council can continue to offer this easy transportation option. For more information please visit the user friendly Sanders County Arts Council website at http://www.sanderscountyarts.org.
