Plains hoop stars Jessica Thompson and Jay VonHeeder have been honored as All-State C basketball performers by the coaches of the Western C division it was announced earlier this week.
A 6 foot, 3 inch senior, VonHeeder helped lead the Plains Horsemen to a 20-5 record this season. The Horsemen finished second in District 14C regular season standings, second at the 14C tournament, and advanced into the Western C championship game before finally falling there.
The Arlee Warriors, who won a second straight State C crown after claiming the 14C and Western C championships, put four of their players on the All-State C team.
A 6-foot senior, Thompson led the Trotters to the regular season District 14C title before the Plains girls ended season play at the 14C tourney.
The Western C All-State C selections are made by division coaches following the regular season.
