The Plains-Hot Springs Little Guy wrestlers competed at the Western Championships in Kalispell, with Kyle Lawson bringing home the championship in the Junior-120 bracket.Lawson pinned his first two opponents before beating Peyton Hicks of Corvallis in the semifinals with a 5-1 decision. For the championship, Lawson out-wrestled Trent Wilson of Polson 2-0.
Coyle Nagy finished in second in the Junior-105 bracket, and Benedict Waterbury was fourth in Junior-126.
Will Tatum took fourth at Middle-166, losing the consolation final to Dylan Whitten of Kalispell. Aiden Pfister was second at Middle-95 and John Waterbury was fourth in the Middle-80 competition.
Nick McCallister wrestled to a solid second-place finish for Plains-Hot Springs at Novice-85, and Weston Wagoner finished in fourth at Novice-100.
In the Novice brackets, Isaiah Mathers, Matthew Thurston, Gavin Schrank, Johnny Felix and Chance Angle also competed.
At Middle, Spur Ryan, Aidan Rich, Brady Schrenk, Mason Elliot, Drew Carey and Gunnar Gannarelli also wrestled for Plains-Hot Springs.
Avery Crane, Levi Blood, Alex Ellis and Taylor Angle competed in the Junior division.
