Shanks a Lot, then Feed-N-Fuel… Feed-N-Fuel, then Shanks a Lot…
The Shanks a Lot and Feed-N-Fuel teams have been trading the lead back and forth in Tuesday Night Men’s League play so far this season. Last week’s action was no different as Feed-N-Fuel supplanted Shanks a Lot after the scores were all counted.
Although Shanks a Lot golfers Dave Garr, Rusty Haggard, Charlie Hooten and Ron Beaty shot the low team gross of 170, Feed-N-Fuel duffers Kelly Kovarik, Dave Petteys, Steve Clark and Mike Gilmore shot the low team net of 128 to move past their rivals once more and into the league lead, albeit if only temporarily.
Gilmore shot the low individual gross of 38 while Hooten factored in his handicap to arrive at the low net of 29.
In other Tuesday hole play, Sam Burt put down the long putt on No. 3, Don Lake was closest to the pin on No. 5 and smacked the evening’s long drive on No. 9, Petteys earned long putt honors on No. 6, Tom Holleran was closest to the flag off the tee on No. 8 and Clark clocked the long 55+ drive on No. 9.
