Wild Coyotes are now cat's meow

The Wild Coyotes are the cat’s meow now, the official winners of the Wednesday Night Men’s League first half of season play.

Putting the low team gross round of 171 together, the Wild Coyote quartet of Dave Petteys, Howard Morkert, Gary Thompson and Scott Pardee charged into the league lead last week at the last possible instant, clawing past the previous leaders, First Security Bank and Whitefish Credit Union, to win at the wire.

Hagedorn Land Surveying golfers Rick Hagedorn, Tim Harlan, Bernie Groshong and Paul Flemmer shot the low team net of 141 for the week.

Jess Mosher scored the low individual gross of 39 and Rick Hagedorn posted the low net of 31.

In other Wednesday play at scenic River’s Bend, John Mosher was the man closest to the pin in 3 on No. 2, Darrel “Torgy” Togrimson rolled in the long putt on No. 3, Thompson was closest to the pin off the tee on No. 5, Morkert converted the long putt on No. 6 and hit closest to the pin on No. 8, Shawn Morgan hit the long drive on No. 9, and Ron Beaty hit the long 55+ drive on No. 9.
