TOWN GIFT – Marv Tanner of the Plains Lions Club presents a donation of new wooden benches to the Town of Plains Mayor Dan Rowan. The bench they're sitting on is one of four for use in the wading pool, which was constructed and is operated by the club. It took Tanner about eight hours to build the benches. His wife, Margo, helped with the sanding. Staining was done by Tanner and Lions members Duane Highcrane, the club president, and Chuck Wassinger, the club treasurer. The wood was donated by Thompson River Lumber. Also pictured are Lions members from the left back: Jared Littlefield, Don Ruguleiski, Ken Matthiesen, and Duane Highcrane. The benches were donated Monday morning.
