Hill players swing

They won’t take this sitting on the sidelines watching others play golf – the Over the Hill gang will go over that hill swinging.

Taking their swings seriously on each scenic hole of River’s Bend, Sanders County’s friendliest group of golfers got after it again this past Monday on the freshly rained-on fairways and greens of their favorite golf course.

Rick Kendall shot the low men’s gross of 39, Don Hansen scored the low men’s net of 31 and Lana Nolen shot the low women’s net of 34.

In pin play, Kendall was closest to the pin in 2 on No. 10, rolled in the long putt on No. 13, was closest to the pin off the tee on No. 14 and dropped in the long putt on No. 15, Ray Marshall put in the long putt on No. 12 and again on No. 16, Ron Belger busted the long 70+ drive on No. 15, Mike Gilmore chased down the long putt on No. 17, Nolen connected on the long putt on No. 18 and Charlie Hooten smacked the long drive on No. 18.

Kendall (No. 13) and Nolen (No. 15) made the only chip-in shots of the day.

Weather permitting, the Over the Hill gang will play again at River’s Bend next Monday.
