Fun run to benefit Laws family

Looking for something fun, amazing and worthwhile to do the first Saturday of October? Come join a fundraiser fun run, barbeque and bake sale benefitting Lindsay Laws on Saturday, October 6 at 3 p.m.

Laws was recently diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS), an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body, according to the National MS Society.

Expenses for treatments and travel will be unsurmountable for the Laws family. Any help would be greatly appreciated as all proceeds will go directly to benefit the family to help with medical and travel costs or allowing them to enjoy a fun outing together.

Laws has been battling MS for years without even knowing it. Just to prove how tough she is, she has been extremely successful in both academics and athletics, not letting her illness bring her down.

Please consider joining this great cause while helping a local community member in need of support. The Laws family has been such an integral part of the area for a long time, it is important that the community comes together to show what makes this small community so special.

The 5K run, or walk, will begin at the Sanders County Courthouse and continue to the new trail system. The BBQ and bake sale will take place at PPL Power Park immediately following the run. To register for the run, go online to http://www.runwildmissoula.org. Look for RWM Upcoming Events and click on the Laws Family Fun Run. Individuals or businesses wishing to make donations or to inquire about the event, contact Shana Neesvig at [email protected] or call (406) 291-4198.
