Devils split with Troy and Plains

Coach Teri Wilkinson and her Noxon Lady Red Devils split matches in Noxon last week, spiking the Troy Trojans 25-8, 25-16, 25-19 Tuesday before falling to Plains 26-24, 19-25, 25-22, 25-18 Thursday.

The Devils have only one match on tap this week, at Hot Springs in another interesting District 10C matchup, Saturday.

Kristina Brown led the Lady Devils to the win over Troy, powering down 13 kills, hitting a service ace and digging up 17 Troy kill attempts, Riley Richter directed the Noxon net attack with 24 assists, and Kali Murray added a block and an ace.

Montana Rice hit six kills and a block to lead Troy, and Annie Day had 17 assists and 12 digs.

Delaney Weltz led the Devils against Plains with 11 kills, two blocks and an ace, Richter hit 28 set assists and an ace, and Jenna Freeman hit another ace.
