Candidate forum provided clear choices for voting on election day

Editor,

After attending the Candidate Forum held at the REX Oct. 6, 2018 it is clear that:

Paul Fielder will be a superior choice to the current, decade plus, status quo of our County Commission. Paul will bring fresh approach and outlook: pro economic growth, pro-government accountability. Paul has a long history of working with government agencies federal and state, a plus for being an effective County Commissioner.

Sheriff Tom Rummel is doing a FINE JOB; is experienced, well trained, and physically capable to be active in the field alongside his deputies as well as behind his desk, he need not be replaced by a female with admitted physical and health issues.

Mark French will be a good Justice of the Peace and seek honest judgments under the LAW.

Kim Christopher is experienced and measured. Her opponent came off as immature and inarticulate; Morigeau claimed that being a passionate as a Judge is a plus. Really? Passionate = ACTIVIST. WE have enough activist judges trying to legislate from the bench.

Chris Gross was unimpressive in speech and demeanor. She was unable to articulate any really good reason she could “do better”.

Sanders County will be best served by Bob Brown continuing as our Representative HD 13, he has served and will continue to Sanders Co. and Montana well.

Naomi Leisz is unopposed for County Attorney, County Administrator and I am confident she has the experience and temperament to do the job well.

Lark Chadwick,

Thompson Falls
