Question of the Week

What was your favorite toy as a kid?

BOB MARTIN, Thompson Falls – “I didn’t have any toys when I was little. My ‘toy’ was a Remington Model 12. My wife, however, has a Roy Rogers doll and his horse Trigger with a saddle and everything.”

TOM HARRIS, Thompson Falls – “My first ‘toy’ was a Steven’s 22 rifle. That was my favorite.”

JASON ARNOLD, Trout Creek – “Legos. I usually built houses or buildings with them. They are a fun toy for kids. I played with them for four years and kept them for 10. Then we donated them to others.”

JEANNE COLLIER, Plains – “I had a hula hoop. I didn’t play with it. I used it to train my beagle dog. I taught him to jump through the hoop. He worked for food.”

JANIS DAY, Plains – “My doll, Chatty Cathy. It came with a boy and girl doll. I had more fun with them. In 1960, I got a Barbie and I still have her.”

PAUL CARLSON, Clark Fork, Idaho – “My small truck. I did everything with it and dragged it wherever I went. I ran it under and around the furniture. I’m in town with my wife to celebrate our 50th anniversary.”
