TC Haunted Park to feature costume contest

Trout Creek Park will once again become home to ghosts and ghouls on Halloween. The Trout Creek Community Improvement Association (TCCIA) is inviting area families to join them as they transform the park into a haunted maze.

The fun begins at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 31, with trips through the maze and roaming through the graveyard. A costume contest will be held, with judging for ages 0-3 and 4-7 at 6:45 p.m., and 8-12 and 13 and over categories at 8:45 p.m.

At 7 p.m., the group Dance Xplosion from Thompson Falls will perform. And at 7:30p.m., all ages are invited to participate in a bobbing for worms in dirt competition. Prizes will be awarded.

The haunting will continue until 9 p.m., rain or shine, with a bonfire, tricks, treats, and free hot cocoa, coffee and cider. Montana Eats will have hot dogs, chips and pop for sale.
