Nothing spreads holiday cheer more than listening to carols sung by the youngsters we hold dear to our hearts. Schools throughout the county have been working hard to prepare musical entertainment to celebrate the holiday seasons.
Hot Springs school will hold their school-wide concert on December 19 at 6 p.m. in the gymnasium.
Noxon Elementary School (grades K-4) will serenade audiences December 6 in the multipurpose room beginning at 6:30 p.m. The high school holiday performance will follow on December 11 at 6:30 p.m. in the gymnasium.
The Horsemen and Trotters from Plains High School and Middle School will perform December 17 at 6 p.m. in the high school gymnasium. A couple of days later, December 19, the elementary students will put on a holiday extravaganza beginning at 7 p.m. in the gymnasium.
Thompson Falls will take the county by storm, providing two performances; one by the high school and junior high on December 10 at 7 p.m. in the high school gymnasium, and then by the elementary on December 17 beginning at 7 p.m. in the junior high gymnasium.
The Eagles of Trout Creek will tantalize holiday “cheermeisters” on December 18 at 6 p.m. when kindergarten through eighth grade will take the stage at the Trout Creek school gymnasium.
In addition to holiday concerts, there are other festivities scheduled in the weeks leading up to Christmas. Noxon School will host senior Delany Weltz’s chili cookoff on December 9. The cookoff will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will take place in the multipurpose room at the school. For more information on the cookoff, email Weltz at [email protected].
Thompson Falls Elementary is hosting their annual Family Art and Literacy night on December 6. The event celebrates the importance of reading and writing as well as giving recognition to the arts. Contact the elementary school at 827-3592 for more information.
