Lorie Adams did not exactly have a good start to 2019. Unfortunately, on Jan. 1, due to an electrical outlet problem according to a Heron fire volunteer, her house caught fire and it was a complete loss. She also lost her vehicle in the blaze.
Heron’s Wednesday Women have come together and will provide a spaghetti dinner benefit to help Adams rebuild. On Saturday, Jan. 19 from 5 to 7 p.m., they will serve spaghetti, salad, French bread and cake at the Heron Community Center. President of the club Caryene Bledsoe stated they are asking a fee of $5 per plate.
Bledsoe stated that people who would like to make donations, but cannot make the dinner, can do so by sending contributions to Wednesday Women at P.O. Box 167, Heron, MT 59844. She asks that people designate the funds to Lorie Adams in a letter or memo. Checks should be made out to Wednesday Women, who will issue a single check to Adams for the cause.
“She (Adams) is my neighbor, there are several Wednesday Women that live up here in the neighborhood. This is something we wanted to do for her,” Bledsoe said.
According to Bledsoe, Wednesday Women is a non-profit and organizes fundraisers throughout the year making donations to charities in Sanders County and Clark Fork, Idaho.
