Thompson Falls man enters not guilty pleas

A 43-year-old man entered not guilty pleas Tuesday to four charges stemming from a 911 call of a disturbance at a Thompson Falls apartment complex.

Jason Krick is charged with two felony counts of criminal posession of dangerous drugs, a misdemeanor count of obstruction of a peace officer, and misdemeanor disorderly conduct.

On Dec. 30, Thompson Falls Police Department responded to an apartment complex on Bighorn Drive for a report of a disturbance. According to charging documents, Krick allegedly gave officers a different name when he was arrested, and officers learned he was on probation. Upon his arrest, officers found he had opiates in his possession that were not prescribed to him, acccording to documents.

District Court Judge Deborah “Kim” Christopher set a trial date of April 15 for Krick, who is being held on $25,000 bond at the Sanders County Jail.

Also Tuesday, Brandon Tollie, from Bigfork, entered not guilty pleas to four charges. Tollie is charged with felony criminal possession of dangerous drugs with intent to distribute, as well as misdemeanor criminal possession of dangerous drugs (marijuana), criminal possession of drug paraphernalia and night speeding.

Tollie was arrested during a traffic stop on Highway 28 near Hot Springs on Oct. 26. During the course of the stop, Sheriff Rummel previously said in a statement that Deputy Roy Scott observed indicators that the vehicle may be transporting illegal drugs. Further investigation revealed methamphetamine and illegal marijuana in the vehicle.
