FROSTY and FRIGID

January went out in a fury last weekend as a winter storm brought bitter winds and several inches of snow to Sanders County.

The flags lining the Gallatin Street bridge in Thompson Falls (above) were active in the high winds, while vegetation was quickly frozen in time (top) with the dropping temperatures.

Ten-day forecasts predict temperatures will remain well below freezing.
