The Plains Trotters wrapped up the regular season with a pair of District 14C conference wins, defeating Noxon 56-32 in Noxon Friday and closing out with a 68-11 senior night win over Two Eagle River in Plains Saturday.
The No. 3 seed for this week’s conference tourney in Pablo, coach Eddie Fultz and his Trotters will open the tourney Thursday at 6 p.m. in a rematch with No. 6 Noxon (see other story for a tournament preview).
Leading only 27-22 at halftime in Noxon, the Trotters outscored the Lady Devils 20-3 in the third quarter to take full control and move to the win.
Kylee Altmiller scored 13 points and Haley Josephson 11 to lead the Trotters, Miera Loberg, Kassidy Kinzie and Natalee Deschamps added seven each, Rachel Huenink six, Brooklyn Stafford four and Mariah Smith one. Please see other story for Noxon scoring.
The game with Two Eagle River was never close as the Trotters roared out to a 26-0 lead after one quarter and never looked back.
Altmiller again led the Trotters in the scorebook with 19 points, Huenink added 12, Deschamps nine, Kinzie eight, Loberg six, Emma Morgan and Willow Sturdivant four apiece, Stafford three, Josephson two and Smith one.
Tarae Goodluck scored nine points and Lulani Miler two for Two Eagle.
