Lovers of classical music have a unique opportunity to experience a performances in a casual setting, through the efforts of the Clark Fork Enrichment Corporation. The Pieatigorsky Foundation will present a free performance at Thompson Falls Christian Church (corner of Church Street and Haley Avenue) at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 2. This year’s concert will feature Igor Begelman on clarinet and Yoni Levyatov on piano.

This is the third year for the Pieatigorsky Foundations performance. The informal setting includes explanations from the artist, as well as a time for questions at the conclusion. Lasting approximately one hour, the performance is well suited to children and adults.

For more 28 years, The Piatigorsky Foundation’s commitment to artistic excellence and public outreach has fascinated many avid concert goers as well as curious first-timers. It is this combination of complimentary access, flamboyant performances, and human warmth that makes Piatigorsky Foundation concerts so appealing to diverse audiences.
