Give mom an early Mother’s Day present and support the Cancer Network of Sanders County (CNSC) with the Music for Mom event, scheduled for this Saturday. Dave and Deb Oliver will host the event, which begins at 7 p.m. at the Rex Theatre in Thompson Falls.
Music for Mom kicks off the fundraising season for CNSC, with all proceeds going to the local organization. There is no charge for admissions, but donations will be accepted.
“This annual event is one of the major fund raisers for us,” said Kathy Miller with CNSC. “We depend heavily on donations to fund our gifts to those who are currently battling cancer. Not only are the donations at the door important, but CNSC would really like to thank all the musicians who so willingly give of their time and talent to make this a most enjoyable show.”
Music will include bluegrass fiddle player Bob Sink, heartwarming duets by Theresa and Maddie, country singer and guitarist Keith Myers, the Olivers’ can’t-miss country vocals and a special performance by “The Rolling Bones,” the Sanders County’s newest country band.
Dave Oliver will be master of ceremonies and has volunteered endless hours to put this musical treat together for your pleasure, Miller said. “You will be royally entertained by some of the best music talent in the county!”
Music for Mom is sponsored by Thrivent, Blackfoot, First Security Bank, Whitefish Credit Union, Mangy Moose, Town Pump and Sanders County Harvest Foods. For information, contact John Clark, CNSC president, at 826-6163. Those who can’t attend but want to donate to the organization can send donations to CNSC, P.O. Box 1311, Plains, MT 59859.
