First Security golfers send 2nd half message

Team Wild Coyote won the first half but First Security Bank sent a message for the second half by combining to shoot the low team net of 29.5 on the midseason play night in Wednesday Night Men’s League action at River’s Bend last week.

Sending that links message for First Security were Dan Whittenburg, Bill Nolen, Ben Mummert, Mike Baxter and Howard Morkert; those five hope to make a run, along with all the other Wednesday teams, at the second half title, beginning this Wednesday.

In other play night highlights, Randy “The Hit Man” Hojem pulled off a double, rolling in the long putt on No. 6 and blasting the long drive on No. 9, Rick Kendall put the long putt to bed on No. 3 and Larry Eddy was closest to the pin off the tee on No. 8.

Regulation Wednesday Night League play will resume this week at the Bend.
