MARKET ART

The Trout Creek Farmers Market needed a new poster to get the word out about their fresh veggies, home baked bread, and locally produced products, so volunteer manager Sarah Cooper ran a contest. "There is an extremely robust art program at Noxon School, so I asked the art teacher, Veronica Colyer, if there were students who would like to help. The response was fantastic, and with the help of the lunch ladies we picked three winners," Cooper said. Winners were River Duffy (4th grade), Haylee Weideman (7th grade), and Ethan Burgess (5th grade, artwork above). All three were given a token worth $5 that can be redeemed at the Trout Creek Farmers Market starting on July 10. The market runs 4-6 p.m. Wednesdays under the trees at the Trout Creek Park.
