The Whitefish Credit Union and First Security Bank teams shot the low team gross and net scores last week, giving the two banking squads the advantage in the early stages of the second half of Wednesday Night Men’s League play at River’s Bend.
Wally Gibe, Rick Kendall, Ron Beaty and Rusty Sharp shot the low team gross of 168 for Whitefish CU while Bill Nolen, Dan Whittenburg, Michael Scharfe and Ben Mummert shot the low team net of 141 for First Security, leaving Whitefish as the current league leaders with 26.5 points followed by First Security with 25.5
In other Wednesday highlights, Ryan Ostwald tamed the Bend with a straight-up 37 for low individual gross and Gibe used his handicap to arrive at the low net of 31.
Scott Pardee won the triple crown of golf in hole play, capturing honors on No. 2 (closest to the hole in 3), No. 8 (closest to the pin) and No. 9 (long drive), Jesse Mosher dropped in the long putt on No. 3, Ron Beaty was closest to the pin off the tee on No. 5, Kendall collected long putt honors on No. 6, and Dan Kier killed the long 55+ drive on No. 9.
Sharp (No. 5) and Mark Terrazas (No. 9) converted chip-in shots.
