Mummert shoots low, bankers hold onto lead

With Ben Mummert shooting the low individual gross of 39 to lead his team, First Security Bank, which also includes Mike Baxter, Dan Whittenburg and Michael Scharfe, they recorded the low team gross of 170 last week at River’s Bend to hold on to first place in Wednesday Night Men’s League standings.

Moving up into second place in the standings, the Wild Coyote quartet of Gary Thompson, Dave Petteys, Scott Pardee and Howard Morkert shot the low team net of 141. Larry Eddy shot the low individual net of 29.

In other Wednesday highlights, Bruce Sterling put his ball closest to the pin in 3 on No. 11, Doug Czerwinski stroked in the long putt on No. 12, Ron Beaty put his tee shot closest to the pin on No. 14, Jody Doyle rolled in the long putt on No. 15, Mummert was closest to the flag on No. 17, and Morkert smashed the long drive of the night on No. 18.

Chadd Laws (No. 12) and Beaty (No. 15) made chip-in shots part of their Wednesday night rounds.
