Proving hungry dogs hunt best, the Wild Coyote team of Gary Thompson, Dave Petteys, Scott Pardee and Howard Morkert devoured the competition and moved into first place by shooting the low team gross of 170 last week in Wednesday Night Men’s League action at River’s Bend.
While the Coyotes were busy hunting down the low gross, Ron’s Running Dinos’ team of Bruce Sterling, Darrel “Torgy” Torgrimson, Dan Kier and Mike Thilmony posted the low team net of 139.
Jesse Mosher shot the low individual gross of 38 while Petteys factored in his handicap to arrive at the low net of 30.
In hole play, Mosher was closest to the pin in 3 on No. 2, Thompson knocked down the long putt on No. 3, Kier was closest to the pin on No. 5 and Ryan Ostwald hit the longest drive on No. 9. Ben Mummert captured the flag on three holes, dropping in the long putt on No. 6, hitting his tee shot closest to the pin on No. 8 and slamming the long 55+ drive on No. 9.
Mike Baxter collected the only chip-in shot of the evening on No. 2.
