September is preparedness month and Sanders County Public Health is helping families be prepared in “Preptember.” With kids going back to school, the health department encourages parents to send their kids to school with an updated backpack emergency card.
According to the health department, involving young people in preparedness efforts can help youth, families and communities be prepared and able to respond when faced with disasters.
Sanders County Public Health provided the backpack emergency card so that children can contact parents and guardians in case of an emergency. The health department encourages parents to complete the card below and put on in their child’s backpack.
