Lady Red Devils gaining notoriety

The Noxon Lady Red Devils are gaining new net notoriety with every passing match.

Most notable of all, Noxon’s sophomore setter Riley Richter, earned Western Montana Athlete of the Week honors last week for her fine play in leading the Lady Devils past Valley Christian 26-24, 17-25, 25-23, 25-21 in Noxon last Tuesday and past St. Regis 25-7, 25-16, 25-16 also in Noxon Saturday.

Up this week, coach Teri Wilkinson and her net Devils will visit Darby Thursday, host Victor Friday and travel to Hot Springs next Tuesday.

Against Valley Christian last week, Richter set the table for the Devil hitters with 16 set assists, in addition to blocking a pair of shots, Alivia Hill and Emily Brown blasted eight kills apiece, Arianna Wood hit 20 digs, Hill added two blocks and Kendra Torti hit an ace.

Ellie Hover (12 kills), Fylena Rahn (14 assists), Trinity Henry (seven aces) and Taylor Vance (19 digs) paced Valley Christian.

Richter had 16 more assists in the win over St. Regis, Burgess bonked nine kills and blocked three shots, Jenna Freeman hit nine digs and Torti hit two more service aces.

Baylee Pruitt led St. Regis with 15 assists, two aces and six digs.
