Independently owned since 1905
Thompson Falls Woman’s Club in collaboration with the Thompson Falls rural and city fire departments are offering a free in-home inspection of smoke detectors and extinguishers in the Thompson Falls area.
A Thompson Falls Woman’s Club member will accompany fire department volunteers into the home to inspect the devices insuring they are in working order, replace batteries as needed, and placement of the detectors. A limited number of reduced cost detectors and free battery replacements are available due to the generosity of Doug’s True Value and Inland Empire Ace stores.
This service is being offered by appointment. Call Vonn Briggs at 827-4728 to schedule a time. Appointments are available this year from February 24 through March 6. The fire department is also offering to inspect smoke detectors and extinguishers at the fire stations by appointment. Contact Neil Harnett at 827-3577 for these appointments.
The Thompson Falls Woman’s Club holds monthly business meeting the first Saturday of October through June at 11:30 a.m. at the Rimrock Lodge.
