Go or no-go?

Cancer Network of Sanders County and First Lutheran Church in Plains are moving forward with plans for a yard sale next month. That does not come with a guarantee that it will happen. Everything is very fluid and can change very quickly. If the planning committee believes – we can’t do the sale in a safe environment and within the Governor’s guidelines, we will not do it. We plan to have a cut-off date July 31 on the go/no-go status. The current plans call for the Yard Sale to be held August 7-8, 2020, at the First Lutheran Church. Sale items will be on tables with one-way traffic between lines of tables and request that our guests wear masks. Of course, this is all provisional!

We are hoping the sale will go on. With COVID-19 still raging, obviously, neither of these organizations have been able to conduct any of their usual fund raisers. CNSC relies entirely on donations to continue to give financial assistance to Sanders County residents undergoing treatment for cancer. First Lutheran Church also uses money to help various other organizations in Plains (like CNSC)! Unfortunately, cancer and other needs do not take time off during the pandemic.

If you have any questions about our yard sale, you can check the websites and Facebook page for both organizations: http://www.cancernetworksanderscounty.org or http://www.flcplains.org.
